Gabriel Guerreiro is a Brazilian artist, singer-songwriter, musician and educator. In the past 3 years he played in many famous venues and festivals, like Hard Rock Cafe (Munich, Berlin), Prague’s Castle, Reduta Jazz Club (Prague), Water Fest (Lithuania), Vary Good Festival (Karlovy Vary/CZ), Prosecco Fest (Prague), Brasil Fest (Brno/CZ), and many more around 14 countries in Europe and Latin America. Brazil, Argentina, France, Spain, Poland, Netherlands, Germany, Czechia, Latvia, Lithuania and Switzerland are some countries Gabriel has adventured himself into.
His music is a mix of afrobrazilian rhythms, with poetry, romance and social engagement. He believes art is not only a mirror to represent the world, but a channel to create a new one. His silky voice and outstanding guitar skills made him one of the most sought after latin musicians in Prague.
A grandchild of conductors, Gabriel started performing in early age at Christian churches in Brazil. Later on went to conservatory and took private music classes for many years. As an adult, after he quit his idea of becoming a doctor, he decided to quit university and to focus in art, even though he had no idea how would it work out.
He came to Europe as a street artist, his first performances in Europe were in the streets of Prague, Pilsen and Olomouc. After years in the streets of Prague and doing small performances in cafes and underground clubs, something happened. Everything changed for him when he met the legendary Adriano Trindade, in a show Adriano did at the Reduta Jazz Club in Prague, Czech Republic.
Adriano saw Gabriel’s potential and started mentoring him in the ways of a Brazilian Jazz. Some years later, Adriano accepted to produce his first album, Conheça Sua Rua(Know Your Street), with which Gabriel has already toured to many countries in Europe.
Additionally, for the past 5 years he is teaching music at the Prague’s International School of Music and Fine Arts, private students in Prague and online around the world.
He has been broadcasted in major media outlets like Cesky rohzlas, one of the most prestigious in the Czech Republic and Radio Prague – the biggest expat network in the country.
